Welcome to Romania! Upon arrival at Henri Coanda Airport, you’ll be greeted by your driver for a private transfer to your boutique hotel in central Bucharest. In the evening, meet your English-speaking tour leader and fellow travellers for a welcome briefing. For those who wish, join an optional dinner in the Old Town, tasting your first Romanian dishes.

Day 2 • Bucharest – Sinaia – Bran – Brasov
After breakfast, depart for the scenic mountain town of Sinaia. Here you’ll visit the fairy-tale Peles Castle, considered one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. Continue your journey to Bran Castle, forever linked to the Dracula legend. In the afternoon, arrive in Brasov, where your guide will lead an orientation walk through Council Square and the medieval streets. Evening free to relax or explore cafes.

Today takes you into the heart of Saxon Transylvania. Start with Viscri, a UNESCO-listed village known for its traditional houses and rural lifestyle, where you’ll enjoy a home-cooked lunch prepared by locals. Continue to the hilltop Rupea Fortress, then drive on to Sighisoara, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval citadels. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the colourful streets, including the Clock Tower and birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. Evening at leisure.

Depart after breakfast for Jidvei winery, one of Romania’s most famous vineyards. Take a guided tour of the cellars and taste a selection of 5–6 wines, followed by a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, stop at Biertan fortified church (UNESCO), former seat of the Saxon bishops. Continue to Alba Iulia, where history comes alive inside the Vauban-style citadel. Evening free to stroll the illuminated fortress or enjoy dinner.

This morning visit Corvin Castle, an impressive Gothic fortress often called “Transylvania’s fairytale castle”. Afterward, drive to Turda Salt Mine, a spectacular underground attraction where galleries and caverns reveal centuries of salt-mining history. Later in the afternoon, arrive in Cluj-Napoca, the cultural heart of Transylvania. Evening free or optional cultural show.
