Why We Started Romania Soul Tours
Romania Soul Tours was founded because we kept watching the same thing happen: travellers would visit Romania, stay in Bucharest for two nights, drive past Bran Castle, and leave thinking they had seen Romania. They had seen almost nothing.
The real Romania is in the villages of Maramures where people still wear traditional dress to Sunday church. It is on the ridges of the Fagaras where you can walk for eight hours without seeing another person. It is in a cellar in Moldova wine country with a winemaker pouring his best bottle because you asked the right question.
We are a UK-registered travel company with Romanian roots — which means we have the language, the contacts, the local knowledge and the twenty years of trust that make the difference between seeing Romania and genuinely understanding it.
